God sent a wonderful team from L.O.M.O. (Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Ohio) who helped us explore the theme "Boundless: God Beyond Measure" based on Ephesians 3:18-19. Each day expanded on the theme through Bible stories on God's Goodness, Love, Welcome, Forgiveness, and Generosity.
Each day included worship, Discovery (small group Bible learning), crafts, games. There was even a water fun day! Zion members graciously hosted the team and fed them, prepared and served lunch and snacks, and led a beautiful afternoon story time which included faith conversation. Next year we plan to find new and additional ways to reach our neighboring families. One of our invitational strategies is "go to where people are" instead of waiting for people to show up on Sundays. This Outreach Day Camp is an excellent opportunity to do just that. God's love is indeed boundless!
