Welcome Visitors…we’ve been expecting you!
At Zion Lutheran Church we believe that we are partners in the Gospel. Through worship and opportunities to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, we reach out to the world around us to be disciples – make disciples, so that all may know of the love of our living God. We look forward to the opportunity to know you and share in your faith journey.

Special This Week

Youth Ministry: You’re invited for Family Bingo & Lunch upstairs in Room 300 TODAY Sunday, March 19th. We hope you can join us! Contact Courtney Nolt with any questions.

Lent: Our Sunday worship service is at 8:45am, 10:45am, and 6:00pm. On Wednesdays March 22, 29 and April 5 a simple Lenten Meal will be served at 6:15PM followed by the 7:00pm service. All are welcome.

Sanctuary Flowers: One of the ways we have decided to observe Lent is by not having flowers on the altar during this penitential season of simple reflection. We hope this absence of flowers during Lent will amplify the resurrection message, when the Easter flowers we’ve ordered arrive!

For those who want to honor their loved ones in lieu of flowers during Lent, and any almsgiver:

ELCA World Hungers 40 Days of Giving: Zion’s Social Ministry Team has set a goal of $4,000.00 which can be met by 100 members of our church family giving $1 for each day of LENT. You may also consider dropping pocket change in the little Pink Piggy Banks in Rooms 100 and 200. The red barn in Room 200 is tracking our progress! If you have any questions, please contact Martha Junkin: 330-264-5803.

Easter Flowers: On Easter Sunday, April 16th, we will decorate Room 100 and the Sanctuary with potted spring flowers that are pre-purchased in the sale going on now. These flowers are available for you to take home after Easter services. We ask that you use the green bulletin insert, additional copies are in Rooms 100 and 200. Please turn in the Easter Flowers form and payment of $8.50 per pot by Sunday March 26th.

Relay of Life: Fundraising event going on now through Wednesday March 29, 2017. Bring in spring with a hanging basket! These baskets (i.e. ivy geraniums, geranium uprights, impatiens, and petunias) are only $16 with $5 of that being put towards our Relay for Life team. The baskets will be available for your pick up in May, and could make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. Flyers will be available soon. For sale details contact Cindy Nolt or Tina Ramsier. As always, we thank you for your continued support and generosity!

People to People: People to People Ministries is looking for volunteers. Help is needed in the food and in the clothing areas. For more information call 330-262-1662 x211.

Spring Rummage Sale: spring cleaning? Don’t trash your old treasurers! Zion is accepting donations for their Annual Spring Rummage (and Bake) Sale. Donation deadline: Wed. April 26 for the April 28 & 29 Sale!
